Synopsis

Stalked by a vengeful DiMensioner, twins Ari and Brie fight to save Myrrh, the last remaining fragment of Old Earth.

The fountain, Elcaro's Eye, sits in the upstairs room of a cottage at the edge of the Terces Wood on Myrrh. Its water ripples into stillness. On the surface the long-awaited Unfolding manifests its beginnings...

The DiMensioner, Seyes Nomed, a covert visitor, is back in the land from which its Guardian, Almiralyn, banished him as a child. Only her death, the destruction of her land, and acquisition of Evolsefil, the powerful crystal heart of Myrrh, will satisfy his lust for revenge. 

Four young people become entangled in his diabolical web, one of whom, Seyes Nomad discovers, possesses powers that will enhance his chances to unravel Almiralyn's Myrrh and destroy it forever.

Synopsis

DiMensioner Seyes Nomed still wants revenge—the destruction of Myrrh and the death of its Guardian. But he was evicted from that last remnant of old Earth, his mission unaccomplished and his nephew, Esán, an unwilling companion.

Observing their arrival in the scorched DerTahan desert, the deadly Fire ConDra blaze downward toward the intruders.

Soldiers from another planet pursue twins Ari and Brie. The Guardian and their parents plan to separate them to keep them safe. Determined to stay together, the girls and their friend Torgin sneak away to rescue Esán

News of Esán’s extraordinary talents spreads through the Inner Universe with the speed of a meteor. Every subversive element and leaders on three planets already scheme to make him their own.

The Guardian of Myrrh agonizes over Esán’s kidnapping as she watches evil forces conspire to destroy all she holds dear.

What adventures await them at the end of the tunnel? will they be able to navigate time and find, not only the Corps Stones, but also who stole them and why?

You never know when you will have some unexpected idle time. Escaping into one of my worlds might save the day!

I started writing a Companion Shorts when I was deep into formatting my very first book. The other side of my brain was screaming for a chance to write while it was trapped for weeks in the analytical formatting software… orphans, widows, rivers, spacing - HELP!!! Creating a ‘short’ allowed me to survive. My partner has taken over the formatting (what a blessing!) but I continue to love writing Shorts. I use ‘Shorts’ to explore characters, places, or ideas that don’t quite fit into a VarTerels’ Universe novel.
